10 Feb 11. Thales reveals next-generation global datalink system. Thales detailed its new Multi-Function Data Link Range Extension System (MFDL-RES) during the company’s annual TechnoDay event in Paris on 3 February. The company says the MFDL-RES offers a global datalink network that supersedes the capabilities of the existing NATO Link 16 network and Thales is now looking to export it to countries that do not have access to Link 16.
