28 Oct 04. Saft has inaugurated its new production facility at its Poitiers plant which was built to handle the Group’s largest ever single order for torpedo batteries. The order will enable Saft to further strengthen its leadership position on this market by commissioning an ultra-modern production unit dedicated to serve BAE Systems.
Oct 04. The RAF assumed responsibility for patrolling over Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania on 14 Oct 04 and will continue to do so until 5 Jan 05. Four Tornado F3 are being stationed at Zokniai Air Base, near Siauliai in Lithuania.
43 Squadron is initially deployed, with the task subsequently being undertaken by 111, 11 and 25 Squadrons. Comment: Air cover for the three new Baltic NATO members started in April 2004 when Belgium and then Denmark, each with four F-16 aircraft, undertook the task. 27 Oct 04. U.S. Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Donna L. Dacier promoted to the rank of Major General. Dacier is currently serving as the commander, 311th Theater Signal Command, deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq.
25 Oct 04. Chris Chambers, formerly Managing Director of Multidrive Ltd and Skip Tierno have been appointed Business Manager FMTV and Business Manager Light respectively by Stewart & Stevenson. These appointments reinforce the company’s wish to grow its International FMTV business and develop the light vehicle segment spearheaded by the Daimler Chrysler G-Wagen , designated BR-461, franchise which has currently sold 120 vehicles to the US Marines.

Charles S. Ream as an independent director effective October 19, 2004. Mr.
Ream will also serve as a member of the Audit Committee. Since 2003, Mr. Ream has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Anteon International Corporation, a provider of information technology (IT) systems engineering, technology management, and logistics modernization services, primarily to the U.S. federal government. His previous positions include Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Newport News Shipbuilding Inc, Senior Vice President, Finance and Strategic Initiatives of Raytheon Systems Company, and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hughes Aircraft Company. Mr. Ream was also previously a partner with Deloitte & Touche.
27 Oct 04. Goodrich Corporation has announced that Sally L. Geib, who has served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel of Goodrich since 2002, has been elected by the Board of Directors to the additional role of Corporate Secretary. In her new role, she will be responsible for corporate legal functions, Board of Directors support and shareholder matters and will continue to report to Terry Linnert, Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Administration, General Counsel.
