18 Aug 04. Harris Corporation recently appointed Edward L. Maier. Jr. as vice president of Technical Operations for its RF Communications Division. In this new position, Maier will have full responsibility for engineering development and resource management, providing technical support for new business initiatives, establishing preferred provider relationships for engineering outsourcing, and collaborating with procurement to ensure optimal sourcing of materials for new designs and development. He will report directly to Chet Massari, president, RF Communications Division.
18 Aug 04. Northrop Grumman Corporation has appointed Craig L. Johnson vice president of its newly formed Network-Centric Systems department. Network-Centric Systems is a business unit in the company’s Electronic Systems sector and will be the company’s incubator for identifying and developing key technologies for cyberspace, networked systems, air- and missile-defense systems, integrated navigation systems and related system-of-systems missions areas. Once matured, these development programs will then be transitioned to the appropriate operating and production divisions within the company.
17 Aug 04. Radstone Technology has appointed Mark Pezaro as Sales Manager for the Far East. Mark joins from Sky Computers where he was responsible for the sales of Sky’s products in the Far East territory. Before that he was Managing Director of Dy 4 Systems’ Far East operation, having been with Dy 4 Systems for over thirteen years in both Australia and Canada. Mark brings with him to Radstone an extensive (over twenty years) background in rugged military electronics, both from an engineering and commercial background.
16 Aug 04. Anne Gynnerstedt has been appointed Saab’s new Group Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs, and will be part of the Saab Group Management. She will take up her new post on October 4, 2004. Anne Gynnerstedt is currently General Counsel of the Swedish National Debt Office. After studying law in Uppsala and Stockholm and qualifying as a law clerk, she held a number of posts in the banking world. Between 1987 and 2002 she was a Corporate Lawyer within the SAS airline group, and she joins Saab from the National Debt Office where she has been a member of the general management.
