11 Mar 03. Stephen P. Ansley has joined DRS Technologies, Inc. as vice president, congressional affairs, at the company’s Washington Operations in Arlington, Virginia. In this new position, he will serve as a key liaison with members of the U.S. Senate, House of Representatives and their staffs. Mr. Ansley comes to DRS with eight years of civilian experience as a professional staff member with the House Armed Services Committee. Most recently, he served for six years as Lead Professional Staff Member on the Research & Development Subcommittee, where he supported more than two dozen members of Congress. His initial Committee assignment was as Professional Staff Member, Procurement Subcommittee, where he was responsible for staff oversight of Air Force, special operations, Marine Corps, defense-wide and Department of Defense ammunition procurement programs for members of Congress on the Procurement Subcommittee.
12 Mar 03. Boeing Co. said on Wednesday that the head of its communications department, Judith Muhlberg, was resigning to spend more time with her family. Muhlberg’s deputy, Larry McCracken, was named as interim department head, pending a permanent appointment, the Chicago-based company said.Muhlberg joined the company in March 1999 after more than 20 years at Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:F – News).
12 Mar 03. Harris Corporation has promoted Robert K. Henry, president of Harris’ Government Communications Systems Division (GCSD), to senior vice president of the company. Mr. Henry retains his responsibilities for GCSD and becomes one of two senior vice presidents in the company.
