05 May 07. Lockheed Martin, is reported to be in talks with Indian IT major Wipro Technologies for a technical alliance, even as it goes about tapping the growing Indian defence market. According to media reports, Lockheed Martin is looking at Wipro as a key technology solutions provider as it joins the race to meet C4ISR-related requirements of the India Air Force (IAF). Reports said that talks are still at an early stage. (Source: Google)

08 May 07. Light Blue Optics Ltd., a developer of miniature display projection systems, has said it has agreed to develop a range of display products for cockpit applications with Thales Group. Under the agreement, Light Blue Optics (Cambridge, England) is expected to provide Thales with engineering samples of its miniature projection system in a collaboration to produce advanced displays. LBO’s patented holographic laser projection technology delivers full-colour video images that are in focus at all distances — even on curved or angled surfaces. (Source: Google)

10 May 07. Raytheon Company is seeking partners to help create innovative solutions to defeat the number one killer of service members in the global war on terror — the improvised explosive device. During the last six months, Raytheon’s McKinney, Texas-based Network Centric Systems has led a company-wide drive to rapidly develop and field solutions to defeat IEDs. To broaden the scope of the research, Raytheon is now inviting potential partners to join the effort by registering solutions and ideas at http://www.raytheon.com/.Raytheon will review the registered submissions for feasibility and will contact the appropriate sponsors of those ideas deemed appropriate for further development.
