08 Feb 07. Cobham plc’s Air Refuelling & Auxiliary Mission Equipment division has given Dynamatic Aerospace® rights to the manufacture of its CBLS 2000 Practice Bomb Carrier for the Indian and export markets. Dynamatic Aerospace®, a division of Dynamatic Technologies Ltd, is a pioneer and a recognised leader in the Indian Private Sector for the development of complex aerostructures.

06 Feb 07. Boeing and AgustaWestland Sign MOU for Joint Rotorcraft Work. The Boeing Company and AgustaWestland announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for joint work on the next – generation Chinook for the Italian Army and other future rotorcraft opportunities. Specifically, the MOU between the Rotorcraft Division of Boeing’s Integrated Defense Systems and AgustaWestland, identifies potential opportunities for both companies to work together to offer effective and economic joint solutions for future heavy lift rotorcraft requirements that will result in direct benefit to their customers. Initially, the MOU teams Boeing and AgustaWestland to jointly market the CH-47F aircraft as the replacement for the current Italian Army Chinook fleet.
Additionally, the two companies have agreed that on future opportunities for new helicopter sales in Italy and the U.K., AgustaWestland will serve as the prime contractor and Boeing will serve as the exclusive prime subcontractor.

30 Jan 07. Device Technologies, Inc., an ISO9001:2000 AS9100 B certified company announced a strategic partnership with Air-On Tooling, Inc. Rondostraat, Netherlands. This partnership will expand the consideration and use of DTi’s proven technology by the Dutch and Belgian Armed forces, NATO facilities, as well as the Aerospace and Electronics industries in the Netherlands, Belgium and greater Western European marketplace. 08 Feb 07. Larsen and Toubro Ltd. (L&T) and European aerospace and defence group EADS took the first step towards joint exploration of business opportunities in defence and aerospace. OnThursday, Mr MV Kotwal Senior Executive Vice President of Larsen and Toubro and Daniel Baubil Executive Vice President and Head of Global Industrial Development of EADS signed an MoU, to establish a long-term, profitable and stable relationship to better address the needs of the aerospace and defence markets in India and around the world. The signing took place at the Aero India 2007 exhibition in the city.

08 Feb 07. Larsen & Toubro (L&T)signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Boeing for the joint exploration of business opportunities in India’s defence sector. According to an official release issued by the company to the BSE today, the signing ceremony took place at the Aero India Aerospace Show in Bangalore.

08 Feb 07. Raytheon Company has signed a memorandum of intent with Tata Power Strategic Electronics Division (Tata Power SED). The agreement is designed to encourage collaboration in areas of complementary expertise and experience as a first step toward forging new relationships with a range of Indian technology
companies. The electronics division of Tata Power is viewed as a good fit with
Raytheon’s core business, according to Wes Motooka, vice president for international business development at Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems. He expects the flexibility of this joint approach to allow both companies to respond effectively to address emerging opportunities.

05 Feb 07. Thales To Develop S. Korean Frigate Sonar. South Korean company STX Engine has signed an industrial cooperation contract with Thales to design, develop and build a hull-mounted sonar for the Korean FFX frigate, the French military systems company said in a statement Feb. 5. Under the cooperation deal, the Thales underwater systems division will work on the antenna and dome for the sonar, for which final contract completion is due in 2009.
