Northrop Grumman Corporation has been awarded a follow-on task order with a total potential value of $1.1bn by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to operate, maintain and enhance the classified networks for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The Enterprise Networked Services Support (ENSS) task order, which allows secure information sharing among federal government agencies and first responders nationwide, is a single award under the Alliant indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract. Work will be conducted over a one-year base period with six, one-year option periods. Northrop Grumman’s Information Systems sector will lead the work to sustain and modernize classified enterprise information technology (IT) services for the Department of Homeland Security. ENSS will support up to 1,100 locations nationwide including the Department of Homeland Security, other federal agencies, state and local governments, and law enforcement. The company was awarded the original task order to build and operate the department’s secret classified network infrastructure in 2004.
