07 Jul 10. Northrop Grumman Corporation will highlight its industry leading global security capabilities at Farnborough. Northrop Grumman’s open-air static display area will feature a full-scale model of the Global Hawk high altitude long endurance unmanned aircraft system (UAS)
and a full-sized model of the MQ-8B Fire Scout Vertical Unmanned Aircraft System (VUAS). Fire Scout is a multi-role UAS that can carry various payloads, which provide unprecedented situational awareness and precision targeting support, ideal for land and navy forces. The company’s Italian subsidiary will also be represented at the air show at stand location H1/D16f. Northrop Grumman Italia will display its state-of-the-art fiber-optic navigation systems, including the LISA-200, the Navex family of attitude heading reference systems and LN 251 / LN 270 high accuracy inertial navigation systems and the newly developed Navinex inertial navigation system. Aircraft equipped with Northrop Grumman Italia systems include the Eurofighter Typhoon and many other fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft in service in various parts of the world. Northrop Grumman will participate in a series of media briefings during the air show covering a range of its capabilities, including unmanned systems, defense electronics, C4ISR, sustainment and life cycle optimization and engineering.
