17 May 11. 3rd International Conference on Cyber Conflict. The International Conference on Cyber Conflict is CCD COE’s third annual conference and will be held on June 7-10, 2011 in Tallinn, Estonia. Similarly to previous conferences, it brings together strategic, technical and legal experts to discuss current key aspects of cyber conflicts. In 2011 the conference will have a closer look on Cyber Forces discussing their defensive and offensive as well as management and policy aspects. Different views on cyber defense and operations in the current and envisaged threat environments will be combined, touching also related topics of interest. The program will furthermore feature a number of keynote lectures to be delivered by distinguished world-class experts. The conference will articulate itself in two parallel tracks: Concepts, Strategy & Law and Technical Challenges & Solutions. An agreement with IEEE for co-sponsorship for 2011’s conference was signed on 8 November 2010.

17 May 11. Bahrain is looking forward with keen anticipation to the second edition of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS), which will take place from 19 – 21 January 2012 at the Sakhir Air Base. Airshow Organisers Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs (BCAA) and Farnborough International Limited are delighted to announce that 75% of chalet space at BIAS has already been sold. Amongst the latest companies to join the existing prestigious list of participants are BAE Systems, Bell Helicopter, Boeing, GE Aviation, as well as Bahrain based Comlux Middle East. Speaking from the European Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (EBACE) event in Geneva this week, where the team are further promoting BIAS 2012, Captain Abdulrahman Al Gaoud, Undersecretary for Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs, said: “BIAS has secured commitment from a number of high profile, international participants and we are looking forward to welcoming the global aerospace community to Bahrain in January 2012.”
