21 Mar 11. Clarion Events is hosting Future Land Forces 2011 on 27, 28, 29 June 2011 at the Singapore EXPO, Singapore. The event brings together the land force community in Asia, and features top regional military speakers who will be addressing the latest requirements for Asian armies.
According to John Geenty, Director, Global Defence Conferences at Clarion Events “defence budgets are rising and modernisation options are broadening in the Asian market, we see that land forces in this region are taking the lead in the procurement of mechanised ground forces, ISR capabilities and support fire platforms. Yet there hasn’t been an event of quality and scale based around a well researched agenda for the Asian land market. Future Land Forces is the only event of its type and we’re delighted to be able to provide this forum for the Asian land sector.”
The conference will cover how regional armies are optimising their increased budgets in the acquisition and upgrading of infantry, armour, artillery and unmanned platforms and technologies. Attendees will also learn and compare operational capabilities from experienced nations to assist them in the decision making process for when they prepare th

24 Mar 11. The next ILA will take place from 11 to 16 September 2012, three months later than originally planned. This decision was taken at today’s session of the presidium of the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI). ILA 2012 had previously been scheduled to take place from 19 to 24 June. The exhibitors in particular are of the opinion that rescheduling the fair for September will space out the intervals between air shows in the summer of 2012, which among others will include the Farnborough International Air Show and Eurosatory in Paris. The announcement of new dates is particularly good news for companies from the defence industry, as well as for the many trade visitors and delegations representing this sector. It also means that the ILA will take place well after the scheduled opening of the new large airport, Berlin Brandenburg International, in June 2012. In 2012 ILA will take place on the new exhibition grounds at Berlin-Schönefeld for the first time. Exhibitor numbers at ILA 2010 were the highest in the event’s 100-year history, with 1,153 exhibitors from 47 countries providing an impressive display of products and services from all parts of the aerospace industry. Attendance at the fair was around 235,000, of whom 125,000 were trade visitors. ILA 2012 is organized by BDLI and Messe Berlin GmbH.
