Jul 09. Revision Eyewear To Sponsor Army Benevolent Fund Cadet
Trophy. Revision Eyewear has teamed up with The Army Benevolent Fund
(ABF) – the Soldiers’ Charity – and the Army Cadet Force, the Army’s own national youth organisation, to help raise significant funds for the charity and develop awareness of its work among young people. The leading manufacturer of protective glasses and goggles for armed forces throughout the world is to sponsor the Revision Eyewear Trophy to be competed for annually by Army Cadet units in the UK. Awarded to the competing unit which raises the most funds for the ABF, or shows the greatest creativity and initiative, the Trophy aims to encourage a sense of community and responsibility among the young cadets and make them aware of the sacrifices made by members of our armed forces. Alex Hooper, Revision Eyewear’s London based vice president international sales, said: “Revision is a company that cares about people and we support those who depend on our products. We take our corporate social responsibility seriously and we have links with a number of service charities in Canada and the USA. We were impressed with the ethos of both the ABF and the Army Cadets, which encourages community work in its training syllabus for it young members.
