09 Feb 17. Inzpire Limited has been awarded a contract to continue their provision of Apache and Wildcat Civilian Qualified Helicopter Instructors to the UK Joint Helicopter Command. The contract will cover the delivery of Conversion to Type and Conversion to Role training on both Apache and Wildcat, through the provision of CQHIs.
03 Feb 17. Patria orders Diamond trainer aircraft. Patria has purchased five training aircraft and two flight training simulators from the Austrian manufacturer Diamond Aircraft Industries GmbH. The purchase consists of four single engine DA40 NG aircraft and one DA42-VI multi-engine training aircraft. Two Flight Navigation and Procedures Trainers (FNPT II) for DA42-VI aircraft are also included in the purchase. The fleet of single engine aircraft will be used for basic and instrument training, while the twin-engine DA42 will be used for multi-engine training.

08 Feb 17. Orbital ATK (OA), a global leader in aerospace and defense technologies, announced today that the company was awarded a $45m dollar contract to complete development of the next generation 120 mm multi-purpose round for the Abrams Main Battle Tank. The award funds the final development and qualification for the U.S. Army’s Advanced Multi-Purpose (AMP) round. The contract calls for a 30-month development and qualification deliverable, and also includes three exercisable options for initial and full-rate production that could bring the total contract value to $119m dollars. 06 Feb 17. U.S. Army Mission Command announced the award of a multi-million dollar contract to Systematic Inc. for its Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) C4I product, SitaWare. The U.S. Army has selected Systematic Inc. as a new supplier of IT solutions to the US military. With the SitaWare solution, the U.S. Army gets a command and control system that provides the warfighter with greater situational awareness at all levels of command, as well as easier cooperation with other forces and greater security. With this award, SitaWare will become a key component of the Army Common Operating Environment, and Systematic will work with Mission Command and industry partners to develop a common framework to enhance intra-operability between U.S. and Coalition Partners.

08 Feb 17. Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded $423,413,136 for modification P00002 to definitize a previously awarded advance acquisition contract to a fixed-price-incentive modification contract (N00019-16-C-0003). This modification provides for the manufacture and delivery of 25 Lot 14 AH-1Z new build aircraft in support of the H-1 upgrade program in support of the Marine Corps. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas (60 percent); and Amarillo, Texas (40 percent), and is expected to be completed in February 2020. Fiscal 2016 and 2017 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $423,413,136 are being obligated on this award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting authority.
