13 Feb 26. Amentum UK – Hypersonic missiles development accelerated by new contract. The development of the new hypersonic missiles will speed up thanks to a £12m contract which will benefit British-based businesses. A £12m investment in hypersonic missiles and systems has been made with Warrington-based engineering contractor, Amentum UK. Supported by Ebeni and Synthetik, based in Wiltshire and London respectively, they will deliver engineering expertise to develop the design for the hypersonic system, which will be demonstrated through flight testing before being adapted into prototype missiles able to operate at extreme speeds and temperatures required for hypersonic flight. 14 Feb 26. Leonardo’s passive acoustic detection system, SONUS, has been selected by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) as part of an £18.3 m contract under Project SERPENS. SONUS will provide the British Army with the ability to passively and precisely locate enemy mortars and artillery. SONUS is the latest iteration of Leonardo’s Hostile Artillery Location (HALO) system, continuously developed by the Company for over 25 years. The system is trusted by 13 global users including six NATO nations, and its performance has been validated on combat operations in Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and most recently in Ukraine. Using advanced acoustic processing to detect acoustic pressure waves from gunfire, mortars and explosions, SONUS provides operators with a precise point of origin and point of impact. Unlike radars which emit an electronic signature, the system operates passively. This puts its operators in significantly less danger as they deploy equipment and means SONUS can operate completely undetected. Open by design, the latest version of SONUS is designed with an open architecture meaning future iterations and integrations with other systems are possible, as well as enabling low risk, dynamic upgrades. SONUS is 50% smaller and weighs 70% less than its predecessor, making it easier to transport, position and conceal. Its reduced power consumption means a longer operational life in the field, limiting the need for resupply. The system’s sensor posts also feature integrated GPS microphones, enabling deployment in under three minutes, reducing the risk of exposure to soldiers operating in hostile territory. 18 Feb 26. The Ministry of Defence has issued a transparency notice signalling its intention to award Leonardo UK a contract worth up to GBP 8 m for repair and post-design support services for avionics communications equipment used across the Chinook, Merlin and Wildcat helicopter fleets. According to the notice published by Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), the contract covers the Elmer Radio and AD120 Avionic Communication Equipment, systems which have been in service since the early 1980s. The planned agreement is expected to run for five years, with the option to extend by a further two years. The contract is expected to begin on 15 May 2026 and run until 14 May 2031, with an extension option through to 14 May 2033. DE&S stated that the contract is being pursued under a direct award route in line with Section 41 of the Procurement Act 2023, using the “single supplier, technical reasons” justification. 12 Feb 26. Netherlands boosts North Sea defence with new radar procurement. The Dutch Ministry of Defence is investing in radar systems for the North Sea, State Secretary Gijs Tuinman said yesterday (February 12). The North Sea is strategically important to the Netherlands and its allies, from both an economic and defence perspective. The area is home to vital infrastructure such as oil and gas platforms, subsea pipelines, wind farms and data cables. All of which are vulnerable to sabotage and hybrid threats. The radars will improve visibility of so-called ‘dark vessels’ that try to remain undetected by turning off their transponders as well as detect drones. The systems will be supplied by a Dutch company, which the Ministry of Defence has not yet disclosed the name of. Maintenance of the radars will be outsourced to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and the supplier. 13 Feb 26. Ondas’ Iron Drone Raider selected to protect European civil infrastructure. Ondas subsidiary Airobotics has received a new multi-m dollar order from a European customer in a NATO country for its Iron Drone Raider counter-uncrewed aerial system (C-UAS) platform. The contract award follows Ondas’ operational deployment of the system at a major European international airport, part of a separate contract from the same customer. The new contract focuses on defending critical assets in complex civil environments using Iron Drone Raider’s net-based kinetic interception system, which is suitable for the neutralisation of hostile drones in densely populated and sensitive locations. 17 Feb 26. Ondas Inc. (Nasdaq: ONDS) (“Ondas” or the “Company”), a leading provider of autonomous aerial and ground robot intelligence through its Ondas Autonomous Systems (OAS) business unit and private wireless solutions through Ondas Networks, today announced its subsidiary Sentrycs, a global leader in counter-drone (C-UAS) technology based on Protocol Manipulation, also known as Cyber over RF, has successfully delivered and deployed its C-UAS solutions to a German State Police office. This milestone reflects both Sentrycs’ growing role in European law enforcement and the rising demand for lawful, non-disruptive drone mitigation. The announcement coincides with Sentrycs’ upcoming launch of its new man-carried system, Sentrycs Scout, at the Enforce Tac exhibition in Germany, marking the Company’s entry into a new multi-bn-dollar segment of the rapidly expanding counter-UAS market.
20 Feb 26. Rheinmetall receives orders for CT-025 medium-calibre turret, Oerlikon KBA 25 automatic cannon and modern simulators – orders in the mid three-digit million-euro range. Rheinmetall will contribute to the reconnaissance capabilities, combat effectiveness and training of the German Army’s Intelligence and Reconnaissance Corps. General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) is the prime contractor for the next generation ‘Luchs 2’ reconnaissance vehicle of the Bundeswehr, which is due to be delivered from 2029 onwards. GDELS has commissioned Rheinmetall to supply the turret, main armament and corresponding simulators. The contract was signed in Kaiserslautern at the beginning of February 2026. The total order value is in the mid three-digit million-euro range. The largest share of the Luchs 2 contract package will be fulfilled by Rheinmetall Electronics GmbH in Bremen. At first, 274 CT-025 turrets are to be delivered by 2031, marking the first major order of this newly developed, modular, unmanned turret system. The Luchs 2 will receive a modified version of the CT-025, complying with the specific requirements of the Bundeswehr. The newly developed Rheinmetall turret will serve as a technological base platform for different mission profiles, and combines high operational capabilities with maximum adaptability to operational and logistical requirements.
State-of-the-art sensor technology and digital networking give the turret particular strengths: a stabilised vision system enables precise counter-attacks against ground and air targets, including drones (UAVs). The fully digitalised fire control system with inertial weapon stabilisation, a ballistic computer and GVA/NGVA-compatible interfaces, ensures maximum accuracy, even when the vehicle is in movement. Furthermore, the Bundeswehr version of the CT-025 features a turret hatch supplemented by ballistic protection, allowing an open protected position while commanding the vehicle in motion. To comply with the maximum weight requirement, the ammunition supply has been adapted according with the mission. Additionally, the height profile has been optimised to ensure compatibility with other platforms.
The CT-025’s open, modular framework enables full integration into the Rheinmetall Battlesuite, the Group’s digital ‘capability store’. This allows functions such as AI-supported target tracking or mission-specific software upgrades to be quickly and flexibly integrated without hardware modifications.

17 Feb 26. Sweden, has commissioned Rheinmetall to supply eight Seasnake 30 weapon systems for the Swedish Navy. These systems will be the primary armament of the new Combat Boat 90 fast military assault craft. The first order under the framework agreement is worth around €63 m and was placed in February 2026. Delivery of the first system is scheduled for February 2028. The framework agreement also includes airburst and 30 mm calibre training ammunition, with a term of four years. Spare parts and services are also included in the agreement. Additionally, the contract includes an option for up to 29 extra Seasnake weapon systems. The Seasnake 30 is a state-of-the-art remote-controlled naval light gun designed for close-range defence. Alongside the weapon itself, the system incorporates modern daylight cameras, infrared sensors, and a laser rangefinder. It features automatic target detection and the ability to track multiple targets simul¬taneously. The revolver cannon’s nominal maximum rate of fire is 1,100 rounds per minute. Thanks to its integrated airburst capability, the Seasnake 30 is particularly effective against air targets, such as drones. Its low silhouette and compact stealth design also make it difficult for enemy sensors to detect. This order from Sweden marks an important market success for Rheinmetall, as it positions the Seasnake 30 with a NATO customer for the first time. This decision highlights confidence in the performance and future viability of Rheinmetall’s modern naval weapon systems. At the same time, the order reinforces the Group’s standing as a dependable provider of maritime defence solutions within the alliance.

13 Feb 26. The Hellenic Navy has selected the Schiebel S-100 Camcopter rotary-winged unmanned aircraft system (UAS) to fulfil its shipborne surveillance requirement. The Austrian manufacturer announced a Greek contract on 13 February for an undisclosed number of Camcopters, saying that the rotary-winged UAS (RWUAS) will equip the Hellenic Navy’s Frégate de Défense et d’Intervention (FDI) Belharra-class frigates HS Kimon , HS Nearchos, and HS Formion. 10 Feb 26. Parsons secures contract extension to protect US embassies from drone attacks. Parsons Corporation has secured a USD 91 m contract extension for the Overseas Security Installation Services (OSIS II) contract administered by the US Department of State. The scope of services includes counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) for US diplomatic facilities, including embassies and consulates around the world. This is the seventh option year award of a 10-year contract, and part of a broader nearly USD 1.12 bn OSIS II contract. 16 Feb 26. University of Texas at El Paso secures USD2M=m to fund UAS and C-UAS research. The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) has announced a USD 2 m appropriation from the United States federal government to expand drone testing and operations infrastructure at the University’s remote facilities in Fabens and Tornillo, Texas. UTEP President Heather Wilson said the funding will help the university build infrastructure for research in both drone and counter-drone technology. UTEP will expand its uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) facilities in Fabens and the drone flight test range in Tornillo, adding new equipment including radar systems. The team will also hire staff and students to assist with teaching and research. In May 2025, the UTEP Aerospace Center secured a Beyond Visual Line of Site (BVLOS) waiver granted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The waiver allows UTEP to conduct fully remote drone operations in a region that spans 87 square miles in west Texas. BVLOS waivers are held by approximately 12 other universities in the US. The contracts will be performed over a period of three years.
17 Feb 26. Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: ESLT) (TASE: ESLT) (“Elbit Systems” or the “Company”) announced today that it was awarded several contracts with a total value of approximately $435 m from an international customer. Under these contracts, the Company will supply a range of advanced systems, including land systems, and will also carry out a development program for an innovative defense solution. The contracts will be performed over a period of six years.
17 Feb 26. Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: KTOS), a technology company in Defense, National Security and Global Markets, today announced that Airbus Defence and Space has awarded Kratos a contract to deliver a ground segment for its customer Space Communication Technologies (SCT) SPC to support the OmanSat-1 software-defined satellite.
With the growing need for mission flexibility to deliver high throughput services, Oman’s national satellite operator, SCT selected Airbus Defence and Space to deliver OmanSat-1, a fully reconfigurable high-throughput OneSat satellite and the associated ground system. Airbus selected Kratos to deliver the integrated ground system to operate the OmanSat-1 software-defined satellite.

Rolls-Royce Solutions America Inc., Novi, Michigan, was awarded a $73,528,916 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of Merkava Power Pack Less Transmission full and lite kits, metal containers, and contractor engineering technical services, with a total cumulative face value of $462,947,478. Work will be performed in Graniteville, South Carolina, with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2032. Fiscal 2026 Foreign Military Sales funds (Israel) in the amount of $73,528,916 were obligated at the time of the award. Austal Defence Australia has been awarded a $4bn contract for the construction of eight Landing Craft Heavy vessels, under the Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement with the Commonwealth of Australia. Construction of the 100 metre Landing Craft Heavy vessels, based on the Damen LST100 design, will be undertaken using Austal facilities and the Common User Facility at Henderson in Western Australia. 18 Feb 26. Leonardo – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) has placed an order for four C-27J Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) from Leonardo. Deliveries to the Royal Saudi Naval Forces are scheduled to begin in 2029. The MoD will receive the new aircraft for use in operations including submarine and sea surface threat response, search and rescue, and transport and airdrop tasks.
