12 Feb 26. Applied Intuition UK has been awarded for the first phase of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) Defence and Science Technology Laboratory (Dstl) Software Defined Swarms contract to deliver a complete autonomy test bed for ground-launched, near-surface drone swarms. Together with its consortium of partners, Applied Intuition UK will enable the MOD to trial, refine and accelerate cutting-edge swarming behaviours across high-fidelity simulation and live flight trials. The company has grown significantly since opening its first UK office in May. The win marks a major milestone for the company’s sustained investment in the UK defence ecosystem and its commitment to building sovereign autonomy capability alongside British industry. The consortium brings together Applied Intuition UK as prime contractor, with Rowden Technologies, Evolve Dynamics, SAIF Autonomy, Frazer-Nash Consultancy, and an academic partner. Evolve Dynamics’ WOLFE-NATO will serve as the consortium’s main UAS platform. Together, they will provide the MOD with an integrated swarming uncrewed aerial systems capability and will support the development of collaborative autonomy underpinned by principles set out from MOD’s Land Open Systems Architecture (LOSA).

12 Feb 26. Oxford Dynamics has been selected by the UK Ministry of Defence to be part of the Digital Decision Accelerators for Defence (DDAD) Open Framework – the primary delivery route for ASGARD, the British Army’s flagship transformation initiative under the Chief of the General Staff’s Growth Transformation Strategy.   This programme will transform how the British Army fights and wins in the digital age. Out of hundreds of suppliers, Oxford Dynamics was successful in Lot 2: Accelerators. This lot will provide intelligence capabilities to enhance data-driven decision-making through automated workflows, pre-trained models and integration with operational systems. It focuses on reducing time-to-insight and improving operational efficiency through model development, machine learning operations, synthetic data usage, and real-time inference.  (Source: Clarion)

04 Feb 26. HENSOLDT has received European Sky Shield Initiative (ESSI) orders from Diehl Defence worth over EUR100 m as part of the German European Sky Shield Initiative. The company is supplying additional TRML-4D high-performance radars, including a maintenance and training package, to various European countries. The radars will be used in the ESSI countries as part of Diehl Defence’s IRIS-T SLM air defence system. (Source: www.unmannedairspace.info)

 

02 Feb 26. The French General Directorate for Armament (DGA) placed an order with KNDS France, on behalf of and for the account of the Belgian Ministry of Defence, for 92 additional Griffon vehicles and 123 Serval vehicles, marking the first Serval order for the benefit of the Belgian defence. Belgium will thus have access to the full range of vehicles of the SCORPION programme, enhancing interoperability. This acquisition directly contributes to meeting its capability commitments to NATO. 06 Feb 26. Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (‘KONGSBERG’) has signed a contract with Patria for the delivery of PROTECTOR Remote Weapon Stations (RWS) to support the German and Swedish Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) 6×6 programmes. The total volume in this procurement amounts to several hundred PROTECTOR RS4 stations. The contract has a value of about EUR 140 m and includes the potential for substantial follow-on orders throughout 2026 and the years to come. (Source: joint-forces.com)

 

13 Feb 26. Rheinmetall framework agreement with NATO procurement agency for 120mm tank ammunition – initial order worth around €200m. Rheinmetall is further expanding its role as a leading manufacturer of 120mm tank ammunition. The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) has called off its first batch of ammunition, worth around €200 m, under a 2025 framework agreement for 120mm ammunition, a contract of substantial scope and value. The end customers are various NATO countries. The ‘Basic Contractual Instrument’ (BCI) signed with NSPA in July 2025 defines the terms and conditions as well as all technical specifications for various types of 120mm tank ammunition. NATO and NATO-equivalent members can use the framework agreement to simplify the procurement of Rheinmetall ammunition. They can order the ammunition directly from the NSPA. This significantly simplifies the procurement of 120mm tank ammunition within the Atlantic Alliance. Rheinmetall can thus further expand its role as a leading supplier of 120 mm tank ammunition.

06 Feb 26. General Atomics, San Diego, California, is awarded a $43,349,633 modification (P00002) to a firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee order (N0001925F0028) against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N0001921G0014). This modification exercises options to provide continued advancement of the design and development of the future French carrier configuration of the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System and Advanced Arresting Gear through the critical design review, resulting in a configuration baseline being established as well as procures technical data to support the configuration. Work will be performed in San Diego, California (89%); Lakehurst, New Jersey (5.5%); Tupelo, Mississippi (3.5%); Boston, Massachusetts (1%); and Patuxent River, Maryland (1%), and is expected to be completed in January 2028. Foreign Military Sales customer funds in the amount of $43,349,633 will be obligated at the time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This order was not competed. Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

10 Feb 26. SatService GmbH, a Germany-based provider of advanced satellite ground systems and a subsidiary of Calian Group Ltd. (TSX: CGY), today announced it has been awarded a contract by the Federal Ministry of Defence of Germany, represented by the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich, to deliver an advanced, full-service Q/V-band satellite ground station in support of scientific and modern military satellite communications (SATCOM). Under the terms of the agreement, SatService will design, manufacture, test and deliver the satellite ground station, including a high-performance 4-metre antenna system. Once complete, the satellite ground station will operate in the Q/V-band frequency range for geostationary orbit (GEO) applications, a capability currently unavailable at the University.

12 Feb 26.  Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF-401) has awarded a $5.2m agreement to Perennial Autonomy for its Bumblebee V2 counter-drone system, providing U.S. forces with a low-cost, low-collateral kinetic interceptor to defeat illicit drones at home and abroad. The award was made Jan. 30, with deliveries beginning in March. Bumblebee V2 is a next-generation first-person-view multirotor drone designed to physically intercept and neutralize hostile small unmanned aircraft systems through a drone-on-drone collision, rendering both aircraft inoperable. This approach offers a precise countermeasure that minimizes collateral damage, helping protect troops and critical infrastructure. The Army’s Global Response Force will operationally assess Bumblebee V2 in support of the Lt. Gen. James M. Gavin Joint Innovation Outpost, ensuring the system meets the demands of rapidly deployable units and accelerating delivery of advanced technology to warfighters. “Bumblebee V2 is fully NDAA-compliant and uses advanced software to identify, track and collide with hostile drones,” said Army Maj. Cole Price, JIATF-401 assistant capability manager. “This gives our forces a critical tool to counter the growing threat of autonomous systems.” (Source: UAS VISION)

12 Feb 26. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) has awarded Davie Defense a contract to construct five Arctic Security Cutters (ASCs), a new class of polar icebreaker intended to strengthen US operational capacity in the Arctic region. The contract forms part of a wider programme for up to 11 ASCs, authorised by the Presidential Memorandum “Construction of Arctic Security Cutters.” Under this initiative, two vessels will be built at Helsinki Shipyard in Finland, which is Davie Defense’s sister facility.  Meanwhile, three ships will be assembled at Davie Defense’s facilities in Galveston and Port Arthur, Texas. Construction in Finland is expected to allow the shipbuilder to meet the Coast Guard’s target to deliver the first ASC in 2028. American shipbuilding teams will work alongside specialists at Helsinki Shipyard, which has established experience in icebreaker construction. This collaboration is designed to transfer expertise and support efficient production of the subsequent vessels in Texas. (Source: naval-technology.com)

 

03 Feb 26. DARPA selects Raytheon for ship protection programme. The United States Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has selected Raytheon to develop a sensing and targeting system to help defend commercial shipping and naval logistics vessels against emerging threats. Raytheon’s Advanced Technology team will design, build and demonstrate a system that consists of Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) sensors, detection software and command and control capabilities to enhance situational awareness and threat response. The system, which is being developed for DARPA’s Pulling Guard programme, will deploy the sensors via a tethered drone connected to a semi-autonomous unmanned platform that is towed by commercial and naval logistics vessels. The sensors will provide real-time target tracking data to remote operators. Phase one of the programme will focus on simulated engagements to evaluate system performance and operator workflows. In phase two, the system will transition to integrating operational launchers and effectors for live operations. Beyond its primary focus of vessel protection, Raytheon says the technology has the potential to deliver broader capabilities across a wide range of naval and security operations. BAE Systems Inc., Nashua, New Hampshire, has been awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (FA8681-26-D-B001) with a ceiling of $145,000,000; and delivery order with the total value of $66,673,298 (FA8681-26-F-B012). This contract provides for the development, manufacturing, and delivery of Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems weapon systems. Work will be performed at Hudson, New Hampshire. The ordering period is from Feb. 12, 2026, to Feb. 12, 2031, work is expected to be completed on the delivery order by July 31, 2027. This award is the result of a sole source acquisition due to Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source. Fiscal 2026 research and development funds in the amount of $26,048,932 are being obligated at time of award. 09 Feb 26. BAE Systems (LON: BA) has received Foreign Military Sales contracts from the U.S. Army valued at $137 m to deliver its AN/AAR-57 Common Missile Warning Systems (CMWS) to allied nations. The system helps protect aircraft and crews, enhancing their survivability against missiles and other advanced threats. 09 Feb 26. Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) today announced that it has been selected by The Boeing Company to provide mission computer technology for the U.S. Air Force’s C-17 Globemaster III Flight Deck Obsolescence and Technology Refresh program. This major avionics upgrade is designed to extend the operational life and capability of one of the military’s most critical airlift platforms and will support cockpit upgrades for the global strategic airlift fleet. The contract has an estimated lifetime value in excess of $400m. Curtiss-Wright will supply Boeing with Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA)-aligned mission computers for integration into the C-17 aircraft fleet. These systems will enable new levels of computing performance and technology insertion, and will support the U.S. Air Force and allied partners through the aircraft’s planned service life.

 

10 Feb 26. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) was competitively selected by the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) for evaluation in the Marine Air-Ground Task Force Uncrewed Expeditionary Tactical Aircraft (MUX TACAIR) Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program. The agreement integrates GA-ASI’s expertise in autonomy and uncrewed aircraft systems with a government-provided mission package, using the YFQ-42A platform as a surrogate to evaluate integration with crewed fighters. The contract initiates integration of a Marine Corps mission kit into the YFQ-42A surrogate platform for assessment within the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF). The USMC contract includes the rapid development of autonomy for the government-supplied mission kit — a cost-effective, sensor-rich, software-defined suite capable of delivering kinetic and non-kinetic effects — positioning the solution for use in expeditionary operations. This work will support evaluations of future MUX TACAIR capabilities.

09 Feb 26. KBR (NYSE: KBR) announced today it has been awarded two firm-fixed-price task orders totaling $103 m under the United States Space Force (USSF) – Decision Support for Headquarters (HQ) USSF Analysis contract. These follow on awards from the Chief Technology & Innovation Office (CTIO) will be executed in Chantilly, Virginia and further strengthen KBR’s role as a trusted partner in national defense and space operations. Under the terms of the contract, KBR will deliver data analysis and specialized technical expertise to support strategic decision-making, capability development and personnel readiness across the USSF and Department of the Air Force (DAF) over a three-year period of performance.

 

03 Feb 26. ParaZero announces follow-on order for its DefendAir C-UAS net capture system. ParaZero Technologies has announced it has received a second substantial order from a major global defence corporation for its advanced interception net-pods. The order is for operational net-pods designed to address a wide range of aerial drone threats, providing reliable, kinetic interception capabilities that minimize collateral damage in complex environments, says the company in a press release. 11 Feb 26. Saronic has been selected to support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) Pulling Guard program, an initiative aimed at developing and demonstrating semi-autonomous escort systems to enhance the survivability of unarmed logistics vessels against emerging threats. The US Navy has traditionally protected key transit routes using high-end assets such as guided missile destroyers and carrier strike groups, an approach that is increasingly unsustainable at today’s scale. DARPA’s Pulling Guard program aims to provide a more scalable, distributed model for maritime protection by leveraging advances in low-cost commercial technologies in command and control, autonomy, and sensing. Saronic will participate in the program under Focus Area 2 (FA2), where it will focus on designing an autonomy-enabled, modular vessel to address maritime security challenges.

12 Feb 26. BlackSky Technology Inc. (NYSE: BKSY) Gen-3 international momentum continues with a seven-figure Assured contract supporting an international defense customer. This Assured agreement extends the uncontested access to Gen-2 and Gen-3 imagery and AI-enabled analytics services over the country’s priority areas of interest.

 

11 Feb 26. Japan’s Ministry of Defense (MoD) has awarded a contract worth JPY123.5bn (USD786m) to Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (Melco) to develop and build a satellite communications (satcom) system for the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF). Melco announced on 6 February that under the contract, it will build a next-generation geostationary (GEO) communications satellite to replace the JSDF’s Kirameki-2 X-band communications satellite, which was launched in January 2017. Melco said it will also design the ground systems and infrastructure required to operate the new satellite. (Source: Janes)
