20 Oct 25. GDELS receives contract for the next generation reconnaissance vehicle of the Bundeswehr. General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) has been commissioned by the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) to deliver the next-generation reconnaissance vehicle for the German Army Reconnaissance Corps, to be introduced into the troops as «LUCHS 2». The acquisition has a contract value of approximately 3 bn Euro. The reconnaissance vehicle will be based on the most modern PIRANHA 6×6 wheeled vehicle variant with amphibious capability and will succeed the light 4×4 reconnaissance vehicle FENNEK.
22 Oct 25. OSL – The Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (Forsvarsmateriell) has placed a new order with the British company Operational Solutions Ltd. (OSL) to enhance the Armed Forces’ ability to detect and counter unwanted drone activity. The first new anti-drone system has been delivered to Ørland Air Station and is now being installed and commissioned in cooperation between the supplier, the Armed Forces, and Forsvarsmateriell’s Air Defence Division. The framework agreement with OSL was signed in August 2025 and is worth up to 938m Norwegian kroner. Forsvarsmateriell has now made two call-offs for anti-drone systems, also known as Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS), which will protect bases as well as stationary objects and installations against drones. 22 Oct 25. Roda computer, subsidiary of MilDef, has received a framework agreement order regarding deliveries of rugged IT equipment to a German defence and security company. Order value is 320 MSEK and deliveries will take place in 2026. Roda, part of MilDef Group, has received an order in an existing framework agreement, for IT-equipment. roda has been delivering rugged IT equipment such as computers, displays and power supplies, all designed for demanding conditions to this IT-security prime for several years. Products will be delivered to end users in the German defense ramp up.
20 Oct 25. Saab has received an order from the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), for the life time extension of the Arthur radar systems for the Spanish Army. The order value is approximately SEK 540m (EUR 49.4m). The order will, with modern technology, ensure the critical capabilities of Spain’s artillery locating force while sustaining cost effectiveness. The life time extension will provide both high operational mobility and precise counter-battery operation, meaning an increased number of targets are located at greater ranges but with a reduced electronic signature.

22 Oct 25. ALL.SPACE, the leading provider of multi-orbit, multi-link SATCOM platforms, has been awarded €950,000 by the European Space Agency’s Navigation Innovation and Support Programme (NAVISP). This award is to develop an alternative Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) capability designed to operate in Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)-denied environments. The project will build a proof of concept for Alt-PNT, harnessing ALL.SPACE’s multi-orbit terminal technology to generate and analyse “signals of opportunity” that can deliver position and orientation data independently of traditional GNSS sources. The innovation is designed to counter rising threats from GNSS jamming and spoofing – scenarios of increasing concern for both defence and commercial operators. Delivered in partnership with UK-based GNSS experts GMV NSL, the project is aimed at embedding a resilient PNT capability directly within the ALL.SPACE terminal, forming part of its growing Software as a Service (SaaS) portfolio. ESA’s NAVISP programme is designed to spur innovation in navigation technologies and services across its Member States. The support of this programme underlines ALL.SPACE’s role in delivering cutting-edge, sovereign capabilities for UK and European customers. Once proven, the technology will be matured and commercialised as an integrated service offering, helping customers achieve operational independence and secure navigation in any domain.
14 Oct 25. Global Konet signs contract for ESA antenna development. Global Konet Inc. recently signed a contract for the development of an overseas ESA KU/KA antenna for aerospace applications—this is the first time a domestic company has signed a contract for the development of overseas ESA KU/KA antennas. Global Konet declared its ambition to become a global leader in the drone and aerospace data link market, using this contract as a stepping stone. The antenna to be developed under this contract weighs only 700g for the panel, with a total weight of 2kg including the modem. This ultra-compact and ultra-lightweight design is one of the key advantages of the newly developed antenna. Additionally, this antenna is gaining attention as a next-generation solution with real-time satellite data transmission capabilities. It also incorporates innovative cooling-based technology that solves heat dissipation issues, enabling stable long-term operation with low power consumption. To facilitate mass production for the new business, Global Konet has established production facilities and dedicated chambers. Indra Group is strengthening its collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) through two new contracts that will reinforce Spain’s and Europe’s position in space surveillance and satellite navigation. The agreements were signed at the European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC) in Villanueva de la Cañada during ESA’s 50th anniversary celebration. The first contract covers the upgrade of the S3TSR space surveillance radar to its V2 version. The S3TSR is one of the most advanced systems in Europe and the world, owned by the Spanish Ministry of Defence and forming part of the S3T space surveillance and tracking system. This dual use system is a key element of the Spanish contribution to the European Space Situational Awareness System (EU SST), dedicated to detecting and monitoring objects in low Earth orbit. Marshall Aerospace – Türkiye has contracted the Cambridge based aircraft maintenance company, Marshall Aerospace, to support the 12 legacy C-130J tactical transporters Ankara acquired from the UK. In partnership with the UK Defence Equipment and Support, Export and Sales, Marshall supported the resale process as the principal retail partner for these aircraft, while conducting ongoing anti-deterioration maintenance and storage at its facility. In addition to the scheduled maintenance, Marshall will have completed centre wing box replacements on each of the airframes prior to the aircraft entering into service with the Turkish Air Force. 17 Oct 25. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) has been contracted by the U.S. Navy to develop conceptual designs for a Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) to support the carrier air wing of tomorrow. GA-ASI was selected to work on Navy CCA designs emphasizing a modular approach to platform selection, capable of being rapidly reconfigured and upgraded to meet changing mission requirements, including operations on and from aircraft carriers. GA-ASI’s approach supports the Navy’s revolutionary acquisition strategy of smaller, frequent purchases that enable rapid technology insertion rather than traditional long-lifecycle programs. GA-ASI’s Navy CCA contract follows its selection to design and fly the U.S. Air Force’s first CCA, the YFQ-42A. A production-representative unmanned fighter, YFQ-42A was the first Air Force CCA to begin flight testing in August, another historic achievement for the company.

12 Oct 25. Viasat awarded contract by USSF for Protected Tactical SATCOM-Global (PTS-G) program. Viasat, Inc. (NASDAQ: VSAT) was recently selected for a prime contract award by the U.S. Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (USSF SSC) for the Protected Tactical SATCOM-Global (PTS-G) program. Viasat is one of five awardees to receive an initial Delivery Order 1 (DO1) contract under what is a large Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract that aims to develop a proliferated, small satellite GEO constellation that will deliver resilience and anti-jam capabilities. The first launch of this PTS-G constellation is projected for 2028 to serve government end-users. Under this initial award, Viasat’s Space and Mission Systems team within its Defense and Advanced Technologies segment will mature a design for a dual-band X-/Ka-band satellite and anchor station architecture, inclusive of tracking, telemetry, and command (TT&C), satellite and network operations, and cybersecurity requirements. This work under the DO1 phase will take place over a 7-month period, culminating in a technical design review and demonstration of this capability.
