Collins Aerospace, an RTX (NYSE: RTX) business, has been awarded a contract by the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) to provide its Electronic Warfare Planning and Battle Management (EWPBM) solution to NATO. This integrated software tool is designed to plan, direct, coordinate, synchronize, and assess electromagnetic warfare activities. The EWPBM solution will deliver a Recognized Electromagnetic Picture, combining data from operations, intelligence systems, and other sources, as well as an Electronic Order of Battle, detailing the location and function of electronic devices. 15 Sep 25. FNUK – UK MoD to upgrade in-service L111A1 Heavy Machine Gun. The .50 Cal is a staple of Western military capability, offering mounted or dismounted fire support at ranges of up to 2km.

The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has awarded a new ten-year contract worth £20m ($27.2m) to upgrade and provide through-life support for the UK Armed Forces’ L111A1 Heavy Machine Gun (HMG) will create a handful of new jobs in the UK whilst sustaining 80 existing positions. Defence Equipment & Support, the procurement arm of the UK MoD, through its Dismounted Close Combat Portfolio team, has awarded the contract to FN UK, the only manufacturer and assembler of machine guns in the UK. According to a 15 September release, the contract will see FN UK undertake a mid-life improvement programme for the weapon over two years, followed by eight years of in-service support. 16 Sep 25. Kromek (AIM: KMK), a global detection company delivering best-in-class solutions for the advanced imaging and CBRN detection markets, is pleased to announce that it has received a new biosecurity award from the UK Ministry of Defence (“UK MoD”) as well as other orders in the CBRN Detection segment worth a total of c. £860k, with the majority to be delivered during the first half of the Group’s current financial year to 30 April 2026. The Group has received a contract from the UK MoD’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, one of the principal government organisations dedicated to science and technology in the defence and security field, to develop novel methods of enhancing the detection of biological agents and incidents. The Group has been awarded £250k for the 18-month project, which is being funded through the UK Government’s Defence and Security Accelerator. This complements Kromek’s existing multi-year contracts for the development of biological-threat detection systems with a UK Government department and with the US Department of Homeland Security, and reflects the Group’s strategy of undertaking customer-funded R&D in this area of activity. Additionally, the Group has received several orders from global customers in the nuclear security segment as outlined below: The Group has received an order of $470k for its D5 detectors under a pre-existing Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, as announced on 25 April 2024, with a US federal entity for the provision of nuclear security products. To date, the Group has received orders of $1.9m under this IDIQ with up to $1.0m remaining to be ordered before the programme’s expiry. This latest order is due to be delivered in the first half of the Group’s current financial year.

  • The Group has received three orders, totalling £252k, for the Group’s D3M detectors from distributors for end customers in Japan, Canada and Bulgaria. The orders are for use by first responders and homeland security and are due to be delivered in the first half of the Group’s current financial year.

 

17 Sep 25. ZeroAlpha Solutions has been awarded a contract by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) to provide its Containerised Battery Management System (C-BMS), the company announced at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2025 exhibition held in London from 9 to 12 September. 17 Sep 25. Saab to lead NATO’s new underwater battlespace project. The Saab-led MANGROVE consortium has been selected by NATO to lead the Allied Underwater Battlespace Mission Network project (AUWB-MN). The project formally commenced 1 September 2025 and will deliver interoperability for Maritime Uncrewed Systems and conventional platforms across allied nations.

Argon Electronics, global leader in the development and manufacture of CBRN and hazardous material (HazMat) detector simulators, has been awarded a contract with Military University of Land Forces in Wrocław, Poland. The UK-based training and simulation expert will support the military university to enhance their chemical warfare training capabilities through the provision of simulation tools for both localised and large-scale area training. Argon Electronics’ AP4C chemical detector simulator reacts to safe electronic sources that simulate toxic industrial substances, chemical vapours or false positives. It enables military units, security forces, first responders and industrial safety teams to experience realistic and comprehensive training experience without the risks associated with becoming exposed to live chemical agents. 18 Sep 25. Navantia – The Spanish government has approved the initiation of the contracting process for Navantia, pertaining to the design and construction of two new offshore patrol vessels (BAMs). These vessels are set to join the six currently in service with the Spanish Navy. ArianeGroup – On August 28, 2025, the French Defence Procurement and Technology Agency (DGA) awarded ArianeGroup the contract to design and produce the fourth version of the M51 strategic ballistic missile (M51.4). The M51.4’s enhanced range, precision and penetration capabilities will reinforce the credibility of France’s oceanic nuclear deterrent in response to evolving threats. The contract marks the start of design and then production of the M51.4, ensuring ongoing activity for ArianeGroup and hundreds of partner companies in the coming years. 09 Sep 25. AAC Clyde Space wins strategic order for first phase of ESA-backed satellite swarm mission. COMCUBE-S is a technical project aiming to develop new capabilities for observing Gamma Ray Bursts (GRB)—short-lived and extremely powerful events in space. By delivering faster and more detailed information about these phenomena, the mission will support scientists in making new discoveries about the nature and origins of GRBs. This project follows ESA’s established In-Orbit Demonstration process and begins with a so-called Phase A study, which assesses the mission’s technical feasibility. AAC Clyde Space is responsible for the system design in this initial phase, working in close collaboration with the project lead, University College Dublin. A decision on further development is expected at the end of 2025, once the study is completed. A central element of COMCUBE-S is the use of a satellite swarm: a coordinated network of many small satellites operating together in orbit. The swarm enables rapid, multi-angle observations of short-lived space phenomena and improves the ability to measure polarization, a key property of gamma-ray bursts that can help reveal how these violent events originate. 17 Sep 25. Embraer (NYSE: ERJ/ B3: EMBR3), one of the global leaders in the aerospace industry, and the Portuguese State today signed the amendment to the current contract for the acquisition of the sixth KC-390 Millennium aircraft and the inclusion of ten new purchase options for potential acquisitions by future partner nations. The agreement is part of the process of modernizing the capabilities of the Portuguese Air Force (PRT AF), with the aim of supporting the operations of the Armed Forces and increasing readiness in missions of public interest.

 

17 Sep 25. Boeing – The U.S. State Department has approved a possible Foreign Military Sale to Norway of GBU-39B Small Diameter Bomb Increment I munitions and associated equipment, with an estimated value of $113m, the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced on 15 September. Norway has requested 816 GBU-39B Small Diameter Bombs Increment I. The package also includes spare parts, consumables, repair and return support, training aids and devices, software support, classified and unclassified publications and technical data, as well as U.S. Government and contractor engineering, logistics, and technical support. GMV – The Space Data Association (SDA) has awarded the multinational technology company GMV, a provider of space solutions and services, the contract to develop its next generation safety of flight system, the Space Safety Portal (SSP) to support today’s mission critical space operations. Building upon the strong foundation established over more than a decade of partnership and leadership from COMSPOC, the next generation system will be agile and enable new capabilities. SDA and GMV will partner with satellite operators, SSA data providers, and other SSA agencies to improve collaboration and strengthen its commitment to act as an integration hub for the enhancement of global space traffic coordination (STC) services. SDA is an international organization that brings together satellite operators to support the controlled, reliable, secure, and efficient sharing of data critical to flight safety and ensuring the integrity of the space environment. The SSP will leverage sixteen years of operational experience and take advantage of new and emerging technologies, space situational awareness (SSA) data, and concepts for STC to effectively meet new challenges posed by the rapid increase in satellites in orbit and scheduled for launch. SDA selected GMV using a competitive process during which SDA received multiple proposals. 16 Sep 25. RTX – The US State Department has approved a potential Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to the Belgian Government, involving AIM-9X Sidewinder Missiles and associated gear, for an estimated value of $567.8m. Belgium seeks to procure a mix of 320 AIM-9X Block II and 258 AIM-9X Block II+ Sidewinder tactical missiles, alongside 50 Block II and 30 Block II+ tactical guidance units. The deal package also includes additional non-major defence equipment (non-MDE) items. Work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona (72%); Gilbert, Arizona (6%); Colorado Springs, Colorado (4%); North Reading, Massachusetts (4%); Suwanee, Georgia (4%); Greenville, Tennessee (2%); and various other locations each less than 1% (8%), and is expected to be completed by September 2029. 16 Sep 25. Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC), part of the Textron Systems segment of Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT), announced today that it was awarded a contract from the U.S. Navy to continue to provide the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps with training support services under the Fleet Fighter Jet Services (FJS) program. This latest award builds on ATAC’s 20 years of success supporting the U.S. Navy with high subsonic and supersonic aircraft flying a variety of airborne threat simulations. Under the indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, ATAC may provide approximately 6500-7000 flight hours per year of fleet support to the Navy and Marine Corps over five years (2025-2030), up to a contract ceiling of $554.5m. The training will be provided by ATAC’s flight team, which consists of highly decorated U.S. military veterans and seasoned civilians, leveraging ATAC’s best-of-breed fleet of Mirage F1, F-21 Kfir, and Mk.58 Hawker Hunter fighter aircraft.

BlackSky won another National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency Luno A delivery order for automated general change detection. Under this order, BlackSky will use its very high-resolution Gen-3 and high-cadence Gen-2 imagery plus other commercial sources of data to identify areas of the Earth that have experienced change caused by human activity. BlackSky’s automated detection algorithms will monitor anomalies in real-time and report changes in natural resources, climate, infrastructure development and economic and military activity.

 

17 Sep 25. General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc., Poway, California, was awarded an $86,392,322 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for MQ-9 Sky Range Reapers. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work will be performed in Poway, California, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 18, 2030. Fiscal 2024 research, development, test, and evaluation, defense funds in the amount of $7,967,659 were obligated at the time of the award. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Marietta, Georgia, was awarded a $211,291,638 cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price, and indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract action for technical and engineering services for the C-5M Super Galaxy fleet. The contract provides engineering investigations and analyses, formulating deficiency resolution concepts, designing proof-of-concepts, and laboratory and on-and-off aircraft testing. Work will be performed at Marietta, Georgia, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 14, 2030. This contract was a sole source acquisition. RTX Corp., Pratt and Whitney Military Engines, East Hartford, Connecticut, is awarded a $670,219,031 modification (P00021) to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N0001920D0013). This modification adds scope to procure initial spares for the production and delivery of the F135 propulsion system including pares depot and common for the F-36 global spares pool, and country unique spares in support of the Joint Strike Fighter program for the Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy non-Department of War participants, F-35 Cooperative Program Partners, and Foreign Military Sales customers. 17 Sep 25. KBR (NYSE: KBR) announced today it has been awarded three cost-plus-fixed-fee task order contracts by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) under the Innovative Cyber/Infrastructure Threat Assessment Environment (INCITE) Common Operating Picture for Event Response Situation Awareness (COPERS) contract. The Multi-Domain Situational Awareness task order, Trusted Microelectronics, Mission Resilience and Assessment Environments task order and the Space Situational Awareness and the Mission Assurance in Space Operations task order collectively total $175m. The contracts focus on the continued development and implementation of advanced situational awareness technologies across multiple domains. They also enhance mission assurance and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities. KBR will extend resilience research, protection strategies and analytical frameworks in support of national defense priorities. All three contracts will be carried out over a five-year period of performance.

18 Sep 25. Machina Labs has been awarded a contract by the US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) aimed at enhancing the capabilities of its RoboCraftsman platform. The Boeing Co., St. Louis, Missouri, has been awarded a $124,700,000 undefinitized contract action modification (P00034) to previously awarded (FA8634-22-C-2705) for the F-15 Japan Super Interceptor Program. This modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $1,225,330,999 from $1,187,880,999. Work will be performed at St. Louis, Missouri, and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2028. This modification involves Foreign Military Sales (FMS) to Japan. FMS funds in the amount of $18,294,156 are being obligated at the time of award. Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has announced an upgrade to the Republic of Korea Air Force’s F-16 Block 52 flight simulators to reflect the advanced capabilities of its upgraded F-16 Viper (F-16V) aircraft. These upgrades reflect enhanced mission capabilities of the Republic of Korea Air Force, providing high-fidelity simulated environments for pilots to train like they fly. Under the contract, Lockheed Martin will provide new equipment and systems integration to modernize nine F-16 flight simulators at Seosan and Chungju Air Bases to the F-16V configuration with continued support for contractor logistics services over a period of six years.

 

16 Sep 25.  Lockheed – The US State Department has greenlit a potential foreign military sale (FMS) of F-16 aircraft and associated support to Peru, with an estimated value of $3.42bn. The Peruvian Government intends to acquire 10 F-16C Block 70 aircraft and two F-16D Block 70 aircraft. The purchase will also include a suite of equipment including 14 F110-GE-129 engines, missile systems, navigational aids, and electronic warfare systems.
