Nov 07. Major Projects Report 2007: Publication. The National Audit Office (NAO) published (30 Nov 07) Major Projects Report 2007 in three parts:-
* Major Projects Report 2007 as HC 98-I for £13:90.
* Project Summary Sheets as HC 98-II for £23:15.
* The Landing Ship Dock (Auxiliary) Project as HC 98-III for £7:70.
Comment: As is customary, the NAO examined 20 of the largest Defence equipment projects where the main investment decision had been taken and 10 projects still in the Assessment Phase. Yet again, financial data for Typhoon aircraft have been withheld as being “commercially sensitive”. Type 45 destroyers and landing ships are the subjects of Items 4 and 5 on page 1.

Comment: The PFI Report will only be of limited interest to the Defence Community since there is little detail covering individual projects.
