Mar 11. The Military Balance 2011: Publication. The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) published (8 Mar 11) the latest edition of The Military Balance (ISBN 978-1-85743-606-8). In addition to the Country by Country coverage, The Military Balance provides specialist analysis on: The war in Afghanistan; Unmanned aerial vehicles and Cyberspace – assessing the military dimension.
Comment: The latest Military Balance “provides cogent analysis by IISS experts of global Defence developments and trends”. Of particular interest is the Institute’s conclusion that ‘cyber’ is not the most important aspect of the contemporary Defence debate. Enquiries about ‘The Military Balance’, which costs £126:00, can be made to the Institute at: 13-15 Arundel Street, London WC2R 3DX (Tel: 020-7379 7676).
